Upgrade Dielectric Lab To further extend the capabilities of our Medium Voltage Test Laboratory, an investment is initiated to partly replace our dielectric test equipment. Early 2017 we expect to complete the installation of a new 150 kV / 125 kVA single phase test transformer in our dielectric test lab. The decision was not made overnight. Most important arguments for the investments where; maintain accuracy of results by using state of the art measurement techniques, ensure continuity by timely replacement of old equipment and allow extension of the scope through increase of equipment capabilities. The new system will consist of a 150 kV / 125 kVA test transformer in combination with a 4nF coupling capacitor. This will allow Damstra Laboratory to test objects with higher capacitance such as cables, joints and cable accessories. Controls of this new system will be according to the IEC requirements and allows data storing for later reference and analysis. All safety systems will be integrated into the current control unit and will be according to the latest standards. We are excited and are looking forward to work with this new equipment for your enquiries and validations. Next Article Print
